| The Barbering and Cosmetology Act
(Business and Professions Code Section 7417) gives the
Board the authority to collect all accrued and unpaid
renewal fees and delinquency fees for a license that
is not renewed prior to the expiration date. Effective March 1, 2008 The
fee is $50 for each renewal cycle, plus a $25 delinquency
fee for each two-year renewal cycle that is delinquent.
(For example: If your license expired
on March 31, 2001, you owe $150 - $50 for the 2001/2003
renewal cycle, $25 delinquency fee for the 2001/2003 renewal
cycle; $50 for the 2003/2005 renewal cycle, and $25 delinquency
fee for the 2003/2005 renewal cycle since the fee was paid
after the expiration date of March 31, 2003.)
